The Pharmaceutical Society of Zambia (PSZ) invites researchers, pharmacists, healthcare professionals, policymakers, academics, students, and industry experts to submit abstracts for presentation at the 45th Annual Scientific Conference and Annual General Meeting (ASC & AGM).

Conference Theme

One Health, One Pharmacy

Integrating Science, Practice and Education for Resilient Health Systems

The conference will convene stakeholders from across the pharmaceutical, healthcare, academic, regulatory, and industry sectors to exchange knowledge, share research findings, and explore collaborative solutions aimed at strengthening pharmaceutical systems and improving health outcomes.

Participants will engage in scientific presentations, policy dialogue, professional networking, and industry engagement addressing emerging challenges and opportunities in pharmacy and healthcare systems.

Guidelines

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Abstract Structure

Abstracts should present original work relevant to pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical systems, public health, or healthcare delivery and clearly include:

  • Background / Introduction
  • Objectives
  • Methods
  • Results / Findings
  • Conclusion
Word Limit: Maximum 300 words (excluding title, authors, and affiliations).

Presentation Formats

Authors will indicate their preferred format during submission. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to allocate the final format.

  • Oral Presentation
  • Poster Presentation
  • Industry Innovation Showcase
All submissions will undergo peer review by the PSZ Scientific Committee. Accepted abstracts may be considered for inclusion in conference proceedings or affiliated scientific publications.

The Pharmaceutical Society of Zambia (PSZ) invites researchers, pharmacists, academics, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and industry experts to submit full scientific manuscripts for consideration for publication in the Pharmaceutical Journal of Zambia (PJZ) — the official scientific publication of PSZ.

The journal provides an important platform for locally generated and regionally relevant pharmaceutical research, contributing to evidence-informed decision-making and the advancement of pharmacy practice in Zambia and beyond.
