Congratulations Your Excellency The Pharmaceutical Society of Zambia extends its warm Congratulations to His Excellency Mr Hakainde Hichilema, resident of the Republic of Zambia, on his re-election as president following the recently concluded general election. This renewed mandate carries with it the important responsibility of advancing national unity, inclusive development and improved wellbeing for all Zambians. The Society also congratulates the people of Zambia for exercising their democratic right and participating in the governance of the country. As His Excellency prepares to commence a new term of office, the Pharmaceutical Society of Zambia reaffirms its readiness to collaborate with the Government in strengthening the national health system. Particular attention remains necessary in areas such as equitable access to safe and quality medicines, development of the pharmaceutical workforce, responsible use of medicines, local pharmaceutical manufacturing, antimicrobial resistance, public-health preparedness and universal health coverage. We wish His Excellency good health, wisdom and success as he continues to serve the Republic and its people. Congratulations, Your Excellency.
